Mrs. Parks has been a life-long resident of the area. She was hired by the consulate to help care for the school when the diplomatic dependents started filtering through to the area.
Her cooking skills are good, solidly based on local fare (to the consternation of some of the picky eaters amongst the Europans) though she often will defer to Rosehaven Bakery for the delicate pastry items.
She is reported to be a soft touch for any hungry child, and will sometimes have the local scamps run errands for her to make sure they are cared for.
